What To Do If Windows 10 Device Stops Responding?

As we all know that Windows 10 is better than the rest of the Windows versions, but we should not neglect the fact that nothing is perfect in this world. Many of the Windows 10 users keep complaining that Windows 10 device stops working. Although it does not happens for a long time, but it is definitely annoying.
The worth noting that if the device stops responding altogether, then it might be serious.

  • Look for the changes
If you have done any changes to your Windows 10 device and after that, your device started freezing, then we advise you to undo the changes or else delete the program. Reboot the system and view if your device freezes like earlier. If it does not, then the changes that you made earlier were the culprit.
  • Look for the running program
  • Firstly, you need to do a right-click in an available area on the Task Bar.
  • Then, choose Task Manager.
  • After that, ensure that you have it open on the desktop.
  • Next, see the running programs.
  • Then, look at the Task Manager and Processor utilization carefully. In case you are fortunate, then you will detect the app that is utilizing the system processor when the system freezes. Or else, it shall freeze and the Task Manager shall show the detected software in red color. You need to remove such programs from your device.
In case there is no such program in the system, then move to the next fix.
  • If there is any file corruption
  • Firstly, you need to do a click on the Windows Start option.
  • Then, choose Command Prompt (Admin).
  • Next, write ‘sfc/scannow’.
  • After that, press the Enter button of your keyboard.
  • Then, give some time for it to check.
  • Next, write ‘dism/online/cleanup-image/restorehealth’.
  • After that, press on the Enter button.
  • Check if there are any driver problems
One of the major file related problem is related to the device drivers. If the checking of the Windows 10 is done properly, then you may think to again install the drivers.
  • Reinstall/restore Windows 10
If still, your system is facing a problem, then you need to install Windows 10 once again or else go for ‘system restore.’
Choose a Restore location before the freezes start occurring. Alternatively, boot from the Windows 10 installation media and choose to install it again.
